Come on out and hear some great swingin’ sounds on Friday, March 21st at Westminster Presbyterian Church! The show starts with a gospel set at 6pm, then we’ll play some Basie tunes second set, then originals and arrangements by band members on our third and final set. This performance is part of the Washington Women in Jazz Festival as produced by Amy K. Bormet. We will also be releasing our EP, “Bullettes Play Basie” as a way to enjoy this performance all year long. The CD will be available at this concert but will not be available online. Tickets are $5 and can only be bought at the door. Westminster Presbyterian church is located at 400 I Street SW, Washington DC. Parking is available on the street, in the parking lot, and in nearby public garages. Be sure to get there early as we sold out last year. They also have delicious southern cooking available catered downstairs. We have a fantastic lineup of musicians and really look forward to playing this great music!

Bullettes New Gigs Announced : Feb 25 and Mar 21
We hope to see you at the Carlyle Club on Tuesday, February 25, at 9:00 – 10:30 pm for the swing dance with Gotta Swing! This will be a small group, most likely an octet featuring Lena Seikaly on vocals. We will also be playing as a full big band on March 21 at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Bullettes Small Group to perform Holiday House Show on Dec. 15th!
The Bullettes Small Group will be performing a Holiday House show on Sunday, December 15th at 7:00 PM in Falls Church, VA!

Join us for an evening of Christmas and Holiday jazz with the all-women jazz ensemble in an intimate setting and a program for music lovers of all ages.
Shannon Gunn and the Bullettes Small Group will feature Lena Seikaly on vocals, Karine Chapdelaine on bass, Lianna Gekker on piano, Shannon Gunn on trombone, and Halley Shoenberg on alto/clarinet.
Suggested donation is $20 (no donation suggested for children.) All proceeds go to the musicians less a 10% donation to Homestretch Transitional Housing.
Doors open at 6:00 pm; performance begins at 7:00 pm.
Light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages will be served. Feel free to BYOB.

Great job Bullettes on Tuesday night! There were so many dancers we could barely get to the bandstand. Great vibe and lots of fun, many thanks to Gotta Swing for getting us in the Carlyle Club! Now we’re gearing up for the Washington Women in Jazz Festival! Those of you who have been clamoring to see us, but haven’t been able to make it to a Tuesday night at the Carlyle, here’s your chance! Get there early, though, as the venue fills up and last year we had to turn away people.

Bullettes will be performing again for “Gotta Swing” at the Carlyle Club

We are back! And as always, the Bullettes will be swingin’ in style at the Carlyle Club in Alexandria, VA, on February 26th. Be ready to dance the night away as the Bullettes serenade you with classics from the Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey (!) and Benny Goodman libraries. Dance starts at 9:00 pm and will conclude around 10:30 or 11:00. Great way to get your exercise for the new years resolutions! It’s a friendly crowd, hope to see you there.
