Bullettes to Perform at The Kennedy Center for NYE!

Please come out and join us for a night of dancing and entertainment at the Kennedy Center on New Year’s Eve! You won’t want to miss this amazing event!

Here’s a link to the NYE Party website: http://www.kennedy-center.org/calendar/event/XRHFZ/.

What a way to bring 2017 in! Shannon Gunn and the Bullettes 13-piece big band will start out at the 6:00 pm live broadcasted Millenium Stage performance. We’ll play our originals and arrangements on our four albums. Then we’ll break for a bit while hopefully you all go off and watch a show or eat at the Roof Terrace Restaurant. At 10:00 pm the party begins! There will be dancing and a photo booth combined with champagne and ball drop at midnight. During the party we’ll perform our swing dance and hot jazz tunes from 10:30 – 11:30 pm. Additionally, Queen Esther and her Hot Five will be performing as well.

Admission to this event is free with your ticket to a December 31 evening paid Kennedy Center event (yasiin bey with Special Guests, Wicked, Into The Woods, or The Second City’s Twist Your Dickens) or with your receipt from a December 31 dinner at the Roof Terrace Restaurant. There’s something for everyone – hip hop, a musical, funny, theatre – come on out and have a great night with us!

    Free ya’ll!!

    How cool is that!

I am really excited to add the really early Ellington and Tommy Dorsey music to our repertoire this year for the swing dance, among other things. We’ll be covering some of the same arrangements as the International Sweethearts of Rhythm from when they were touring the country during WWII! I am also looking forward to the audio recording and video that will become available for the 6 pm set. A true Bullettes book the whole evening! Hope to see you all there!

Also, there is a parking fee as well, by the way.
